Spartan
Group One, an original webcomic.
“Except
beyond primal instinct and urges why do people do what they do? Because we can”

Spartan Group One is a webcomic I was inspired to create due to the influences around
me: Halo, Red vs. Blue, Friends and Life, Politics etc. So while I have drawn
heavily upon those sources for inspiration and ideas I will assure you that the
story is 100% unique and is presented in a serious yet humorous way.
Every soldier has a story to tell, this one is about four of them. Sergeant
James Bradley, Lt. Leonard H. Church, Prvt. Kevin G. Griffin and Medical
Prvt. Shawn P. Donut have been sent to a ring world known as a Halo, to
investigate the disappearance of a secret U.N.S.C. colony that is supposed to
be coming up with the ultimate biological weapon to be used in the war against
the Covenant.

Hello everybody, I bring great news. I have done an
overhaul on the website and have now added a simple yet real and easy to use
gallery to make navigating a hell of a lot easier. However, until I familiarize
myself with this new gallery don’t expect much to happen with it. Oh and the
homepage will still be the same as always. In other news I think that I may be
able to go back to writing and drawing the comic full time so expect updates to
be back on schedule. The old weekly schedule that is.

Damn, it has been almost a month since I last
updated? Whoa, sorry folks. Many things have been happening at once and I
haven’t been able to spend time on the comic. I need to find a better way to
maintain the site, I need to create a better way to navigate the pages I
already have, I need to get my fuckin’ ass a’ workin on the character info
page. I just need to generally get my shit together. So if you know any way to
help me with those things then please say so by either emailing me or posting
it in the forum. Also until I get back on track the updates will come once
every two weeks. This should last long though.
See ya.

Well not much going on today. I just uploaded the
new comic so have fun people. I hope almost everybody got the day off today due
to it being Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Hello again, just letting you know that I have
uploaded the 17th page which is done completely in MS Paint so whoo,
clean lines and legible lettering be praised! Other than that not much is going
on except for the fact that I found that the new navigation scheme I put in is
very impractical. So (I feel sick for doing this) can anyone out there come up
with an easier way to maintain the site other than doing everything in MS Word.
Any suggestions can be sent to cpuwizard9225@yahoo.com.
Oh and by the way please keep in mind that I have no knowledge or immediate
intention of learning HTML.
Catch ya next time,

Well, it is January 2008! Welcome everybody to a
new year and hopefully new fans and the ongoing support of the ten previous
fans. A couple of things this Thursday night, 1-I have completely redone the
navigation in the comic so it is easier to get to a certain page, 2- I have
decided on a grey color scheme and will be sticking with it for however long I
feel like. 3- I am going to be using Microsoft Paint (yes the built in with
Windows program) to draw the comic. The Sergeant Johnson pic above is just a sample. So, New Year, same old crap. Happy New Year
everyone!

Hello people, now I can probably guess that you are
all very pissed at me and that you don’t care what I have to say as an excuse
but here goes anyways. The night after my last post I was abducted by aliens.
So I have spent the past couple of weeks in the hospital having my anal probe
removed. What? You don’t believe me? Damn I thought it would work. Ok truth is
it was crunch time to prepare for the Semester Exams. So to make up for lost
time I will be uploading 3 comics today. So, forgive me please.

Hi, everybody long time no post. And I have a very
good reason for why I have been quiet these past few weeks. I got a real job.
It sucks. If you ever want a job please for the love of God avoid getting a job
on an assembly line. While it may sound good at first it quickly becomes so
boring your brain rots into a unusable mass of grey matter. As for where I got
the job I got it at the local Swiss Colony plant. And due to the work schedule
conflicting with my normal routine I am now going to be uploading new comics on
Sundays rather than Mondays.

Hello, everyone. Well it is Thanksgiving Week so
you all should know what that means. Turkey, football, family, and friends or
TFFF for short. The best things can happen during the holidays but
unfortunately the worst also. A few words of advice, when at the dinner table
don’t try to hide your farts by coughing or blaming the smell on Grandma, if
your team wins the football game; don’t try to tea bag the family members who
rooted for the losing team that only works in Halo. And last but not least the
worst thing that can happen is forgetting that the holidays are a time of fun
and celebration to be spent with your family and friends. So enjoy yourself and
don’t get too drunk.

It’s me again, I am sorry for the really late
update but I have been really busy lately. Well it really doesn’t matter, only
getting the comic up on time does. So it’s up and since I really don’t have
anything to say other than J O I N T H E F O R U M S! I think I am going to go
to bed now.

It’s time for the usual Monday update. But first
and foremost is the glaring fact that the site has not been developed beyond
posting images. For that I am truly sorry. I do all my work in Word except for
a few special things for which I use NVU. So adding comment boxes and so forth
is probably not going happen for a while. But I have created a forum which I
don’t think anybody is using. I am also beginning work on the Character Bios
page so I guess that means I am starting to get the hang of site development.
Hell, I am amazed that I am able to keep a schedule! YOU SHOULD WORSHIP ME!!!!
Or at least post a thank you in the forum.

Hello again I don’t know about you but I had a
pretty decent Halloween scaring the shit out of kids and getting candy and
hanging out with my friends and so forth. But telling you about my Halloween is
not the reason I am here today. The reason I am here today is to talk about
feedback on the site. What about the feedback you may ask? Am I getting bad
feedback? No in fact I would love bad feedback because that tells me I did
something people don’t like and I should probably change it. What I am getting
is NO FEEDBACK, which of course is a problem. Lack of communication leads to
bad things, bad things lead to failed comics and I don’t want that. So please,
for the sake of the comic, join the forums and either bitch at my work or
praise it.

Well, it is 12:37 A.M. in the freakin’ morning and
from where I sit all I can see is the burning light of my computer monitor.
This is made worse by the fact that I have a headache from the weekend. You
wouldn’t believe the crap we pull, like riding on the running boards of a Ford
Explorer as it does 50 MPH down a gravel road, or laying on the roof as we do
donuts at an intersection or, get this, ROAD SKIING! Think of it as skiing
except it is on a gravel road and your shoes will be destroyed by the first few
minutes of it. So anyways I am updating so late because I have spent the day
sleeping the weekend off. I even neglected my Algebra homework until about 13
minutes ago. But I do have good news. SGO is off to a great start for a second
year webcomic (the first year sucked). And all things considered I think that
the comic will have a decent run and hopefully a few loyal fans who will cry
when I suddenly kill all the characters off in a plot twist surprise ending! Now
won’t that be fun? Well I need to get some frickin’ sleep
